Discover Liège

Monday, March 06, 2017

There are still many places in Belgium that I have not visited and Liège was one of them.
Last weekend I had the free time to visit a friend in Liège and discovered this wonderful city filled with style and fashion boutiques.

To top it off, I tasted the best pastrami sandwich at Caffe Internazional with amazing limonana, that is a famous summer drink in the middle east made with lemonade and spearmint leaves. This cafe serves a variety of international dishes and truly lives up to its name.

After the culinary encounter, we walked around the winding streets peaking into individual fashion boutiques through full-sized glass windows. Most pieces displayed at the boutiques cannot be found anywhere else, which makes them unique and one of a kind!

In addition to the cute shops, the railway station gives away the stylishness of Liège if one arrives by train. Unlike the usual historical looking train stations in Europe, this station is modern and full of spirits.

Last weekend, I found my doze of inspiration in Liège.
