Life Happens At The End of Your Comfort Zone

Monday, May 09, 2016

Recently there are many changes happening at work, including colleagues leaving, changing teams, or getting promoted.
All situations take courage because changes will come along afterwards.
I remember when I first moved to Seattle for studies, I came across this saying online -

Life happens at the end of your comfort zone.

It is indeed very true.
Every time when I am hesitating to go forward or seek different things, I remind myself with this sentence.
More importantly, if one feels things are getting easy/comfortable, failure will not be far away.
We must continue challenging ourselves in all possible ways. No matter it might mean changing jobs, moving abroad, or taking a new course...etc.

Decision making is uncomfortable and sometimes scary.
However, the uneasy feeling is only temporarily. We can always adapt and adjust.
It just might take time for some people.

But like Steve Jobs said, "You can only connect the dots looking back."
Courage enables brave decision making, and it leads us to the next step.
Everything will all make sense later on in life because all dots will be connected.
