Happy 2017! Hope it is not too late to say that.
This post is a quick recap of my trip to Singapore last winter.
The new-iush hotel, Parkroyal on Pickering, is so amazing that I have to share it with you.
The photos speak for themselves that this is an extremely stylish 5-star hotel in the central business district in Singapore.
The design of their swimming pool with bird cages sitting area is just simply beautiful.
Despite the great customer service and welcome drink, this is also a "green" hotel.
For instance, instead of giving guests bottled water, Parkroyal offers water in two glass bottles and refills fresh water on a daily basis.
I was also in love with the wooden/bamboo design of the room.
It was very comfortable and spacious considering this is a hotel in the city center.
I will definitely recommend anyone (solo traveler, couples, business men, or family) to stay at Parkroyal while visiting here. (I like to book my hotels via Booking.com since they have really flexible free cancellation policy!)
There are also many planned tours for which guests can register at the front desk to explore many popular spots in Singapore.
In addition to the nice accommodation, Singapore is a highly developed country in Asia with Western influence plus all year round warm weather around 35 degrees Celsius.
Its multicultural environment reflects on different types of buildings, restaurants, and languages.
I love that English is their National language here and locals usually speak a second language associated with their ethnicities.
Also, there are many foreign companies, so seeing expatriates is not uncommon at all.
Most importantly, the country is extremely clean (no chewing gum), regulated (smoking is only allowed in designated areas), and safe with low crime rate (heavy fine is imposed).
In short, there is a little bit of something for everyone and definitely worth a visit!
